hello,
I am considering strategies for performance evaluation and salary negotiation.
I am a pregnant woman who started working in November 2024, worked from January to mid-November 2026, took 90 days of maternity leave, and plans to return to work in mid-February.
I have worked for the entire year of 26, except for about a month and a half, and I have achieved results. I would like to proceed with an evaluation and salary negotiation regarding this.
I am wondering whether it would be better to inform my team leader in advance about my work performance and ask to be included in the evaluation before taking maternity leave, or to contact my team leader during my leave in January to ask for inclusion.
With the change to a new CHRO and HR Manager this year, it seems that different criteria will be applied compared to last year's evaluation, and we are currently unable to determine the exact timing of the evaluation.
I am concerned that if I convey the details of my performance and evaluation to my team leader in advance, the HR team will also become aware of it, and that they might change regulations during this process to exclude me from the consultation (such as excluding those on leave during the evaluation period).
Which direction would be a smart approach?
I would appreciate your feedback!
