Is an improvement plan necessary even if the results of the workplace environment measurement are within the standards?
I am in charge of safety management at a manufacturing workplace.
Although recent workplace environment measurement results showed that all items were within exposure limits, readings for some processes increased compared to previous measurements, and concerns regarding odors and insufficient ventilation continue to be raised on-site.
Currently, we intended to finalize the results as 'within the standards,' but the health management side suggests that instead of waiting until the next measurement, it would be better to document the ventilation equipment inspection and work method improvement plan.
On the other hand, the production department is asking if a separate improvement plan is necessary, given that legal standards have not been exceeded.
Do other workplaces classify results within the standards as targets for improvement based on upward trends, substance hazards, or worker opinions?
If an improvement plan is created, I am also curious about what criteria and documentation are kept.
