Should employees on leave of absence also be included in the mandatory legal training?
Hello. I am the HR representative in charge of operating the mandatory legal training.
I am organizing the training schedule for all employees, and I am wondering if I should include employees currently on long-term leave due to parental leave or sick leave.
Although the person is currently employed, they are not actually working, so I am confused whether I should send them a training notice or if I can conduct supplementary training separately after they return to work.
In particular, regarding annual training such as sexual harassment prevention or personal information protection, I am concerned about whether employees on leave must also complete the training within the relevant year.
How do other companies manage mandatory legal training for employees on leave?
Would it be okay to handle this as supplementary training after I return to work?
