There are often times when employees casually mention things like, "Things are a bit tough these days."
I haven't formally requested a meeting; it's just casual conversation during lunch or work.
However, from the HR team's perspective, we sometimes wonder if we should just let things like this slide.
I don't think it warrants filing a complaint right now, but I thought that if similar stories happen again in the future, the details I heard initially might be helpful.
However, if we record every single one of these trivial remarks, it might be burdensome for the employees.
Do other companies make a separate note even when an employee just lightly mentions that things are difficult?
Or do you start keeping records from the moment a formal interview or consultation request is made?
