Is it acceptable for HR to suggest a meeting first to an employee returning from leave?
We have an employee scheduled to return from leave, so we are organizing the information to provide before and after their return.
The department is currently coordinating work assignments and schedules, but I am considering whether it would be a good idea for HR to suggest a separate meeting.
I think it would be good to check for any difficulties during the initial return period and guide them on necessary support, but from the employee's perspective, they might feel that the company is scrutinizing their situation too much.
I am especially cautious about how I contact you first if you have been on leave due to health reasons or personal circumstances.
I am wondering if it would be better to simply include information on counseling channels or EAP in the return-to-work email, or if it would be acceptable for HR to directly suggest scheduling a meeting.
At other companies, does HR proactively suggest a meeting to employees returning from leave?
I am also curious to know the extent of the support guidance you provide to returning employees.
