Organizing unit tasks by job function Unit task list , writing the execution of a unit task once on a single line Time record , showing daily totals by burden type and items above or close to the standard Daily sum , summarizing 11 notices and standard values Notification standards , containing the order of use and official basis Writing Guide It consists of sheets. It includes example data for cooking, cleaning, and logistics, allowing you to check the structure immediately.
📌 When is the best time to use this?
- When it is difficult to explain how often a particular posture is repeated with just a single line in the job description (“8 hours of cooking”)
- When work that is interrupted by 10 to 20 minutes must be aggregated on a daily basis and compared with the official standards
- When you want to organize the list of unit tasks by job with the workers before the regular hazardous factor investigation
- When recording the current burden to determine whether an ad-hoc survey is necessary after changes in facilities or workload
The criteria for dividing unit tasks and the reason why summation is necessary Article on Musculoskeletal Hazard Factor Survey for Atypical Work It has been explained in detail in [link]. This article focuses on how to use a record sheet.

| Unit task list | Job · Unit work code · Unit work name · Body part · Posture · Tool · Weight · Notice to be reviewed | Input (including 14 examples) |
| Time record | 1 Unit Task = 1 Row. Start/End Time, Check Y for Burden Type, Number of times lifting No. 8/9 | Input + Unit Task Name · Requirement (Minutes) Automatic |
| Daily sum | Sum of burden types by record date and worker code, display of items above or close to the standard | Enter only the record date and code; the rest is automatic. |
| Notification standards | Original text of Subparagraph 11 of Article 3 of the Notice, standard values (minutes/times), and proximity display ratio | Adjust only the proximity ratio |
✍️ Order of using the record sheet
- Create unit task list — List the daily tasks for each job in chronological order, and assign codes (C-01, J-01, etc.) at points where body parts, postures, weight, tools, or heights change. Verify the list with the relevant worker.
- Setting the observation date — Select a normal day and at least one day with a heavy workload, and write the reason for your selection in the memo box.
- Recording time — Enter the worker code, unit task code, and start and end times. If the same unit task was performed in the morning and afternoon, enter it on two lines.
- Checking the burden — If the posture or movement of each item in the notice continued during that time, select Y in the corresponding column. For lifting tasks, record the number of repetitions for No. 8 (25kg or more) and No. 9 (lifting 10kg or more below the knees, above the shoulders, or with arms extended).
- Check daily totals — When you enter the record date and worker code, the sum of values by burden type and 'above standard' and 'close' items are displayed.
- Transfer to survey form — For jobs with items exceeding the standards, transfer the unit task name and basis for aggregation to the working conditions investigation section of the hazardous factor survey form, and verify work intensity and frequency through worker interviews.
🧮 How the score sheet aggregates
Article 2 of the Notice defines '2 hours or more' and '4 hours or more' as the total time spent actually performing the relevant work during the day. In accordance with this standard, the record sheet adds the time required for rows checked as 'Y' by burden type.
| division | Goshi Ho | standard | Values to add on the record sheet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Time type | No. 1 | More than 4 hours (240 minutes) per day | Total time (minutes) for Row Y of No. 1 |
| Time type | Nos. 2–7, No. 11 | A total of 2 hours (120 minutes) or more per day | Total of time (minutes) for each item Y row |
| Time type | No. 10 | Lifting 4.5 kg or more at a rate of 2 times or more per minute for a total of 2 hours or more per day | Total time (minutes) checked Y only while lifting at that speed |
| Frequency type | No. 8 | Lifting more than 25kg 10 times or more per day | Total number of times written in column 8 |
| Frequency type | No. 9 | Lifting 10kg or more 25 times or more per day below the knees, above the shoulders, and with arms extended | Total number of times written in column 9 |
In the example data, the cleaning worker's work time for each unit task is less than 1 hour, but when the squatting and knee bending (No. 5) is added up, it is 125 minutes, which is above the standard. The neck and waist bending (No. 4) is 100 minutes, which is more than 80% of the standard, so it is marked as 'close,' making it immediately clear that additional records are needed on busy days.
✅ Checklist Before Applying the Record Sheet
Please check the items below before you start recording. Especially Use of worker codes, sharing of check criteria, inclusion of busy days This is directly related to the reliability of the results and the protection of personal information. If you do not have at least three ready, it is recommended to postpone the recording schedule and organize the criteria first.
| Inspection items | Confirmation details | check |
|---|---|---|
| Unit work code | Unit tasks and codes have been defined for each job function, and there is no overlap. | □ |
| Worker verification | I checked the unit task list with the corresponding worker. | □ |
| Sharing check criteria | I explained the Y check criteria for each item (especially the conditions for item 4, and the speeds for items 10 and 11) to the recorder. | □ |
| Observation date | It included both normal days and days with a heavy workload. | □ |
| Check weight | The weight of the lifting task was verified using the indicated weight or actual measurement, rather than an estimate. | □ |
| Worker Code | Use codes instead of names and keep the code correspondence table separately. | □ |
| Separation of health information | Pain and disease information is not recorded in this table but is managed separately using a symptom survey form. | □ |
🔐 Precautions when using
- This record sheet is an auxiliary review tool. The 'above standard' designation is not a legal determination and does not replace the Hazardous Factor Investigation Form (Form No. 1 attached to the Notice) or the Symptom Investigation Form (Form No. 2 attached to the Notice).
- For No. 4, the condition of being 'unsupported or unable to change its posture arbitrarily' must be met, so please verify the conditions on-site before Y-checking.
- The record results are not used as data to evaluate individual workers' work speed or performance. The purpose is to identify and improve the workload.
- Records regarding outsourced personnel are processed in consultation with their affiliated company (subcontractor), and the scope of results sharing is determined in advance.
❓ FAQ
Q1. Is it okay for the employee to record it directly?
It is possible. However, since records are easily missed during busy times, we recommend having participants record simple intervals of 15 to 30 minutes, and having the investigator directly observe certain time slots to verify that they match the records. You can easily check for omissions by comparing the 'Total Recorded Time' in [Daily Sum] with the actual working hours.
Q2. How do you check if various positions are mixed over an hour?
If the posture keeps changing, it is more accurate to subdivide the unit tasks. If subdivision is difficult, check the posture maintained the longest during that time and note in your memo that it is mixed in. For tasks with a significant amount of activity, it is best for the researcher to observe directly and re-divide the time.
Q3. If the result is 'above the standard,' is it immediately confirmed as a burdensome task?
No. The record sheet is a tool for identifying items for review. For items exceeding the standards, reconfirm the conditions through on-site observation, determine whether the work falls under short-term or intermittent operations, and reflect this in the hazardous factor investigation form. If the judgment is ambiguous, you can verify it with the competent regional employment and labor office or the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

- 01coach AnswerHello, this is Nudge EAP ☺️ You should group tasks based on whether the actual work type and conditions are the same, rather than the process name. Tasks can be considered the same if the worker posture, number of repetitions and time, handling weight and frequency, movement, and equipment and tools are similar. Therefore, even within the same assembly process, it is better to separate "seated assembly" and "standing assembly while moving materials" into separate tasks. First, list the detailed tasks within the process and compare them using the criteria above; separating only the tasks with significant differences makes organization easier, even with a large workforce. If there are multiple tasks under the same conditions, you can select a representative sample that includes the worker with the highest workload. The KOSHA guide suggests using at least two tasks with high work intensity as a sample when there are 10 or fewer identical tasks. Shifts can be grouped together if the equipment, workload, speed, and personnel are the same, but if the conditions differ, please separate them by shift. For rotation workers, you can make a judgment by recording all detailed tasks performed during the day, along with the time and frequency of each. For the final classification, confirm the opinions of on-site workers, and if you record the basis for the grouping on the survey form, it will be easier to explain during inspections.753326.09.18

- 03coach AnswerHello, this is Nudge EAP.☺️ The simplest method is for employees to simply receive guidance and apply directly, as the company does not transfer personal information. If you want a health manager to forward a name and contact information to an EAP agency for contact, it is safer to explain the receiving agency, purpose, items, retention period, and the right to refuse consent, and to obtain clear consent from the individual. Since checkup results and symptoms are sensitive health information, do not consider them included in the existing health checkup consent; instead, please write down only the content to be conveyed and obtain separate consent. In practice, it is common to separate the options into ① consent for forwarding name and contact information and ② consent for forwarding checkup results and symptoms, ensuring that there is no disadvantage in using the EAP even if the second option is not agreed to. The burden of repeating explanations can be reduced by providing the option for employees to send a summary of their consultation request, written directly by the employee, to the agency. However, since the wording and procedures may vary depending on whether the contract with the EAP agency involves the outsourcing of personal information processing or the provision of information to a third party, please review the contract details with your in-house personal information manager before implementation. It is a good idea to define the scope of responses in advance to the company to prevent unnecessary feedback regarding consultation requests or their content.718926.09.21
