Participation rate is calculated based on the target, and achievement rate is calculated based on the number of participants. Separating these two denominators alone makes walking challenge result reporting more accurate and concise.

๐Ÿงญ Usage sequence ending in 3 steps

Step 1 Setup โ€” Enter the target number of people, start date, number of operating days, daily recognition limit, period target, and number of certification criteria in the light yellow box.

Step 2 Paste โ€” Paste the daily step counts for each participant downloaded from the app into the [Participant Input] sheet. We recommend using a random number instead of an employee ID for the participant code.

Step 3 verification โ€” Check the participation rate, achievement rate, and days when steps were skipped in the [Aggregation] and [Daily Flow] sheets, and transfer them to the report.

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Sheet Composition | Here's how to use it

sheet Work Input status
Writing Guide Usage order, reporting tips, privacy precautions Read only
setting Target number of personnel, start date, number of operating days (max. 30 days), daily recognition limit, period target, number of certification criteria occurrences light yellow box input
Participant Input Participant code, number of authentications, daily steps (max. 300 people) Paste
Aggregation (Automatic) Participation rate, number of people/proportion achieved by condition, mean/median Do not edit
Daily Flow (Automatic) Average recognized steps per person per day, number of people reaching the limit Do not edit

Columns after the operating days and non-numeric cells (e.g., โ€œ-โ€) are automatically excluded from the calculation, even if the table downloaded from the app contains blank spaces or symbols. To prevent the recognized step count from being inflated I made it.

๐Ÿ“‹ Automatically calculated indicators and denominators

characteristic Calculation criteria Tips for reporting
Participation rate Number of participants รท Number of target participants Specify the scope of application (regular, contract, dispatch) together
Recognized steps Only up to the daily limit is recognized for aggregation Displayed as โ€œrecognized valueโ€ rather than โ€œactual step countโ€
Step achievement rate Percentage of participants whose recognized steps โ‰ฅ period goal Participant-based ratio
Certification achievement rate Number of authentications โ‰ฅ Standard number of authentications Check the participation flow by watching with at least one person.
Achievement rate of two conditions Achieved both steps and verification Basis for Calculating Compensation Quantity
Daily flow Average number of recognized steps per person per day Automatically display days more than 20% lower than average

The daily average per person is calculated by dividing by the total number of participants, so participants with no record for that day are counted as 0 steps. Therefore Weekends, holidays, and the last week You can see at a glance the sections where your step count slows down. Please look at these sections first when determining the duration and timing for the next round.

How should we set the target number of steps for the next round?

Based on the aggregated results, we will redesign the daily limit, period target, and number of certifications to suit your organization.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips for Reporting Walking Challenge Results

Participation rate and achievement rate side by side, denominator in parentheses
If 15% of the target participated and half of the participants achieved the goal, please write them together as โ€œParticipation Rate 15% (based on target), Achievement Rate 50% (based on participants).โ€ Simply not mixing the two numbers ensures the result is conveyed accurately.
The achievement judgment is based on the recognized value.
If a daily limit was set, to meet the reward criteria, it is not the actual number of steps Recognized steps Calculate whether it has been achieved. For challenges without certification conditions, set the certification threshold in [Settings] to 0.
The compensation list and summary table for reporting are separate.
It is recommended to use arbitrary codes instead of employee IDs and names in summary tables, and to write only aggregated figures in reports to management.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ This is how Nudge EAP operates

Compilation using the same framework โ€” Organize into the same structure of participation rate, achievement rate by condition, and flow by date to make it easy to compare between rounds.

Reflecting client standards โ€” If separate reward criteria are established, achievers are recalculated according to those criteria.

Next round design โ€” Connect the days when the step count was inactive and the conditions with a low achievement rate to the goal, certification, and period adjustment plan.

Q. Can I use challenges longer than 30 days?

We recommend splitting the file into 30-day units or converting it to weekly totals for input.

Q. Can I paste the file received from the app as is?

You can paste it exactly as is, arranged in the order of Participant Code 1, Authentication Count 1, and then Steps by Date.

โœ… Checklist Before Reporting Results

  • โ˜ Is the target number in [Settings] within the same range as the actual eligible participants?
  • โ˜ Did you separate the denominators of the participation rate and the achievement rate in the report?
  • โ˜ Did you use the recognized value instead of the actual number of steps to determine achievement?
  • โ˜ Did you note down the dates your step count dropped and the reasons?
  • โ˜ Did you leave only a random code on the tally sheet instead of a name and contact information?
